The world's oldest candlemaker, has been turning wax into light since 1643. Founded on Rue Saint Honoré, the company and its innovations became a part of French history, appearing in a Balzac book and, more importantly, supplying illumination to Louis XIV, Marie Antoinette and, eventually, Napoleon.
